Carlson Private Capital Partners is seeking an Investment Associate in Minnetonka, Minnesota
Position: Investment Associate located in Minnetonka, Minnesota
Carlson Private Capital Partners (“CPC”) is a direct investment firm formed by the Carlson family to invest in market-leading businesses best served by a financial partner focused on long-term value creation. Our patient and flexible capital offers significant advantages over traditional private equity firms without sacrificing the speed, sophistication or access to resources. Through a committed capital base, we target majority and significant minority equity investments of $20 to $100 million into leading businesses with $8-$50 million in EBITDA.
CPC is inherently different than traditional private equity. We combine the expertise and resources of a best-in-class institutional investor with the heritage, long-term orientation and flexibility of a family investment firm. This combination allows us to work with founders, families and management to meet the unique needs of closely held businesses. We design tailored solutions that preserve legacies, enhance communities, grow employment, and position the business for long-term success.
Our investment platform was formed by the Carlson family, a family deeply rooted in a legacy of entrepreneurship and operational excellence with a long-standing connection to the Midwest. Our team builds on the Carlson family’s long legacy as an owner and operator of businesses dating back to Curt Carlson’s founding of Gold Bond Stamps in 1938. The family’s multi-billion-dollar portfolio has included global, industry-leading businesses such as Carlson Wagonlit Travel, the Radisson Hotel Group (divested in 2016), and TGI Fridays (divested in 2014).
